Keno is played at modern casinos, it is a lottery-like or bingo-like gambling game. The parts of a keno game are a circular glass enclosure called a "bubble" and 80 ping pong-like balls which determine the balldraw result. Each ball has a number (from 1 to 80) imprinted on it. During the balldraw, a blower pushes air into the bubble and mixes the balls. A lever opening a tube is pressed by a "caller" and then the balls lift one at a time into a "V" shaped tube called the "rabbit ears". The caller and a "verifier" record each of 20 balls drawn, and the computerized keno system calculates all wagers based on the numbers drawn. One can choose any numbers on a a blank keno ticket form and mark them with an "X". After that you can place your wagers and then the casino draws 20 balls (numbers) at random. "Paytables" are series of pay scale choices that are set by the casino. The more numbers drawn match the numbers selected on the ticket the more the player is paid. Keno paytables and the house edge set for each of those paytables vary greatly from casino to casino. There are no identical two casinos' keno paytables. Usually the house edge is from less than 4% to 66%.
